Met Tower Installation

National Wind Assessments, the wind-resource analysis division of National Wind, installed an 80-meter on-site meteorological tower within the Root River Energy footprint. Eighty meter towers deliver the most accurate wind data for large 1.5 to 2-megawatt turbines such as those that Root River Energy plans to use in its wind energy developments.

The tower was erected on October 9, 2008, after being permitted by Fillmore County and the FAA. Here are some pictures from the installation.
